Young Adult Therapy

  • Your twenties can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Many young adults are navigating big transitions. Finishing school, starting careers, figuring out relationships, and trying to understand who they are and what they want from life. It is common to feel pressure to have everything figured out while internally feeling anxious, uncertain, or stuck.

Therapy can offer a space to slow down and sort through what is actually going on beneath the surface.

You do not need to have a clear problem or a perfect explanation for why you are seeking therapy. Many young adults simply know that something feels off and want a place to talk honestly and gain clarity.

  • Young adults come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are navigating specific challenges while others want support during a confusing or transitional season of life.

    Common areas we explore include:

    Anxiety and constant overthinking

    Life transitions and feeling stuck

    Relationship challenges or dating stress

    Career uncertainty and identity questions

    Self confidence and self criticism

    Family dynamics and independence

    Burnout or emotional overwhelm

Therapy can help you better understand your patterns, learn tools for managing stress, and feel more grounded as you navigate this stage of life.

  • My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, authentic, and grounded in real conversation.

I draw from somatic therapy, mindfulness, and parts work to help clients better understand their emotions and how their nervous system responds to stress. Together we explore the patterns and pressures that may be keeping you feeling stuck while building tools that help you feel more balanced and confident moving forward.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about helping you understand yourself more clearly and creating space for change.

  • Sessions are relaxed and conversational.

Some days we may talk through something specific that happened that week. Other times we explore deeper patterns that show up in relationships, work, or how you relate to yourself.

There is no pressure to show up with everything figured out. Therapy is simply a space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing and work through it with support.

  • Young adulthood can bring a lot of change in a short amount of time. Many clients come to therapy because something feels overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to navigate on their own.

Some of the areas I commonly support young adults with include:

    Anxiety and constant overthinking

Feeling stuck or unsure about the future

    Relationship and dating challenges

Career stress or uncertainty about direction

Low self confidence or harsh self criticism

    Life transitions and identity exploration

    Family dynamics and boundaries

    Emotional overwhelm or burnout

    Eating and body image concerns

Healing from past experiences or trauma

    Navigating independence and adulthood

Not everyone who comes to therapy has a clear diagnosis or label for what they are experiencing. Often people simply want a space where they can talk openly, understand themselves better, and feel more grounded as they move forward.

  • I work with young adults in my Suwanee and Johns Creek offices and through virtual sessions for clients throughout Johns Creek and the surrounding North Atlanta area.
