about me

I became a therapist because of the impact therapy had on my own life in my early twenties. At the time I was struggling with identity questions, relationship challenges, and trying to make sense of emotions that felt overwhelming. Therapy gave me something I hadn’t experienced before: a safe, nonjudgmental space where I could talk honestly and begin to understand myself.

That experience shaped the way I show up as a therapist today. My goal is to create a space where people feel grounded, supported, and truly seen.

I work primarily with teens, young adults, and women navigating pregnancy and postpartum. Many of the clients I work with are moving through big transitions, anxiety, trauma, or the emotional weight that can come with these stages of life. After becoming a mom myself, I also began to understand firsthand how isolating motherhood can sometimes feel. That experience deepened my passion for helping others feel less alone in what they are going through.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and practice as part of Dr. Andrea Hempel’s group practice. Earlier in my career I worked in a PHP/IOP treatment center for adolescents and adults, where I gained experience supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns including mood disorders, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, and addiction. I have provided individual, group, and family therapy and regularly collaborated with schools, providers, and care teams. Those experiences continue to shape the way I approach therapy today.

My clinical training is rooted in trauma informed and somatic approaches, which focus on helping clients understand the connection between their emotions, nervous system, and body. This work can be especially helpful for people experiencing anxiety, trauma, and the stress that comes with major life transitions. I aim to help clients develop a deeper awareness of how their body responds to stress and learn practical ways to feel more regulated and grounded.

Clients often describe me as calm, relatable, intuitive, and honest. I value genuine connection in therapy, but I also believe it does not have to feel stiff or overly formal. Humor and casual conversation are often part of the process.

Outside of the therapy room you can usually find me on a late afternoon run with my daughter, working on a home project, or diving into some kind of creative artwork. I also love slowing down with a good book or unwinding with just about any Bravo reality show. These parts of my life help keep me grounded and connected to the people I work with.
